This boat is 5hrs away and I'm looking for a good dependable rig for me and two other duck hunters for the coast. They said they would take 14500 for it . It's a 2000 model diamondback with a Chevy 2000 model 454. Here is the link with pictures and details http://showroom.auction123.com/the_boat_yard/inventory/9847/2000/ID_97332312.html#lg. thanks for any input guys . I'm looking for feed back to decide if I should make the drive

I don't know a thing about what a coastal boat should look like but I'd give 15K for that rig and run the snot out of it on the river!

Thanks BB . I think 5 to 6 hrs sucks on driving but I think 14500 for the rig ain't a bad deal and would be a good boat for everything in my area.

Before I drive that far I'd call and see if the price is negotiable, might at least save enough to pay for your trip!

As for value, if everything is in good condition it's probably a decent price. Just remember, fair market price is the least he will take and the most you're willing to pay. (I noticed the word "auction" in his address)

Ask if you can go for a ride and check everything thoroughly. I have driven lots of miles to look at boats and more often than not they look better on screen than in real life.

If you're not a mechanic, definitely take someone with you who is. 330 hours doesn't sound too bad but it depends on how it was run and how well it was serviced. Don't forget once you buy it's yours good or bad. A weak engine can mean the difference between a good deal and a money pit. Hope it turns out good for you.

As for hunting the coast, someone else will have to help you out there.

Very true thanks a lot for the advice. I am no mechanic just a stinky refinery worker. I was going to have someone go with me and do a compression test and check it all out. Yea I don't know why it says auction because its a used lot only

You need to call Me before you drop one cent on that boat. I just went through the buying process. I had a good guy call Me and lay it all out for me.
Had he not called I would have taken one in the hinder.

Nice boat. How wide is it? This boat if in good shape will work for the coast, I would avoid the lager bays. JMO :texas: :rebel:
