my new prop...

Right now I dont think there is a spec. Just that we have to have automotiove type mufflers. However the general discussions seem to center around 90dbA at 50 feet in all directions. Of course that is all airboat noise combined and at all RPMs.

yep and it aint got nothin to do with bein on plane. Most of them are written for wide open throttle at 50'. There is nothing to prevent it being tested on a trailer either. The cry about hurting you boat if tied down won't hold up becuase if your stuck you are tied down in effect so if you will floor it when stuck you can floor it on the trailer. but thats just my opinion, I know i don't want one that will break on the trailer, now if I can break the trailer now we are cookin let er eat. Of course i would look at that as you shoulda been lookin at the trailer anyways because it shoudn't break either. This one oughta start somethin again LOL, i didn't do it I just wanna clear that up in advance

No. Anti airboaters don't want to hear any sound at all. They would just as soon there were no such thing as airboats. Nothing will satisfy them except a total and complete ban.
