RIP Ruagatr
RIP Ruagatr
I don’t get on the website much lately but for those that don’t do Facebook etc. Mr Charles Morehead aka Ruagatr, has left this world recently. He was a badass guy for sure and did a lot for camp owners in the glades, the FAA and more with his expertise as a lawyer, airboater and all around awesome guy. Rest In Peace ole buddy. Southern airboat is how a lot of us met and I’m very thankful for that.
Life is great, without it you'd be dead.

Sorry to hear this - RIP Ruagatr

He'll cut your throat, baby, stick you in the back, drive off in your Cadillac.
He's more trouble than you think, he'll kill your sugar, leave you in the drink.

Re: RIP Ruagatr
This is truly sad news. Charles was one of, if not THE first Cadillac guru on this board who spoke strictly from experience gained by pushing the old tech beyond the then currently perceived limits. For those who didn't know, he also drag raced those Caddy big blocks which is not a feat to be pursued by lesser men. He was a great guy, and was readily willing to share his hard earned knowledge.
He will surely be missed, but not forgotten.
Prayers sent for family and friends. Slide in peace, brother.

Sad news indeed. First met Charles at Holliday Park when we went to get Bravo Tim, who was stuck out there. Great guy and bad to the bone.
Condolences to his loved ones.

Burned many logs on Lake O telling lots of stories with Charles and the rest of us who always met up at night out on the Lake....I'm sure he's harassing some FSU fans and fighting some sort of battle for the good guys upstairs. RIP

Didn't know his handle on here, never had the opportunity to meet him in person, but chatted on Facebook a bit, quite the gladesmans asset to the culture, God bless his family and friends, his aspiring actress and model daughter, pray she makes it big time in his honor, and not be skewed by the Hollywood elites, RIP

if anyone here remembers the fight we put up yrs ago with regards to Curry Island on Lake O, it was Charles who was on every conference call giving us the legal advice. FAA won that deal as well.

He was as good as a Gladesman can get IMHO. Never refused advise whan I sought it on Big C or Glades issues.

Re: RIP Ruagatr
For sure, he did above and beyond for airboaters. Im still suffering a hernia from pushing his big ass boat out of the willows from yrs ago. He said if his nitrous was working he'd have no problem getting out...I said Charles im 3 ft off the ground the boat is 6ft off the ground in the front 1 ft in the back...ur stuck as chuck no nitrous is getting you out....yeah good memories. BUT, we all came home no matter and thats what airboaters do.
