Sniper, I really don't know. We keep getting new people every day or so. It's beginning to look like a real gatherin'. Geneva0550 and Skeeter are rounding up some folks from the Seminole County club.
I'm at Big Jim's along with BPS, Red Dwarf, and Jrstultz. That makes 4 airboats and five folks so far just in our group, probably from Sat. to Mon.
My buddies from KY are going to tow down on Fri. That's two more boats and folks.
By the time March gets here lodging might be hard to come by.

The Chancey's have made resevations at Wingate's from thursday thur sunday. They would not give us a site number at the time reservation were made. However they did give us confirmation that we would have a full hook-up site for our camper. Swamp Rat , also from Steinhatchee might be coming as well that will be two two boats and four people. I hope the weather will co-operate.

Windgator11, I'd be willing to bet that it'll only be about 5 degrees cooler there than you'll have when you leave Steinhatchee, on average.
No guarantees on rain though, but I found out a long time ago that I don't melt when I get wet. olf

Just a little info for you guys about Wingates, they don't give you a site number until you arrive, but rest assured they have a very nice campground. We will probably take our motor home out as well as a few other from up here and we will camp with you guys.We always get the side that is facing the lake and we put our boats in and they are right there in front of you to see.If all of you that are staying at Wingates and bringing campers ,Motor homes ect.if you will let me know I will make sure we are all on the same side and it's a good one.I know these people very well (not bragging) but if I tell them we want site so and so we get it.they have a nice restruant as well.Sea food, bar b que ect.breakfast if you ladies don't want to cook, great burgers and yes guys they do sell beer!!.If I can be of any help don't hesitate to ask.Carol Dixonwindgator 11 wrote:The Chancey's have made resevations at Wingate's from thursday thur sunday. That's right Olf Art and right now in Ga. it's pretty cheap compared to down "Yonder".We are paying $2.31 for diesel and $2.05 for reg.Yeah I know it can change at the drop of a hat.but we only go around once in a life time huh.Olf Art wrote:Carol, not only Rick, but what about all those riders in United Sportsmen down around Cross Creek (which I belong to) and those folks over in Citrus County (C.C.A.A.) which I also belong to ? Carol, just a ball park figure ....... do you have any idea how many rooms might be available in the other motels in town ? And about how far from Seminole will they be ? Is there enough boat slip space at say, Big Jim's to take the overflow from some folks that might have to sleep in town ? olf

Olf, we have plenty of rooms in town, give me just a little while and I will shoot you some prices. Both Wingates and Big Jim's have plenty of parking for the boats. If you stay in town they are both about the same distance from town about 20 miles. They could leave their boats at either place if they wanted to and not have to tow them back to town.I will send you some room prices in just a little while.CarolOlf Art wrote:Carol, just a ball park figure ....... do you have any idea how many rooms might be available in the other motels in town ? Olf the Charter House has plenty of rooms as well as the Jamison Inn.they are both right beside each other. The rooms are double, queen or king and all the same price.$74.00.the Charter House has a resturant, and lounge. They are both on the same hwy.27 just outside of town.Across the street is Wally World,Zacksbys ,Sonic,Mexican food.ect.They are right at the By-pass so it's easy to get on and go to Wingates or Big Jim's or any of the other places. If anyone is going to need a room they better go ahead and reserve it,there is a bass tournament in town that weekend as well.Just found that out today, but they don't bother us cuz they cant' run with us don't cha know.!!Or at least not everywhere we go.If I can be of any further help don't hesitate to ask.I reserved 4 camp sites at Wingates for us today.Carol Dixon wrote:Olf, we have plenty of rooms in town, give me just a little while and I will shoot you some prices. We'll do it, Swamp. If you and Janis want to try and set the date for a run up there sometime just post it.
Carol, thanks for all the great information. With a bass tournament in town that same weekend it will be interesting to see which group has the best manners on the water. I think I already know the answer to that one.

Hey Olf we are REALLY experienced with the bass fishermen on this lake. They know us well. And don't like us (imagine that one) haha but don't mess with us.We try VERY hard to be friendly and we go WAY WAY around any of them try not to wash them outta the boat and Paul always makes it a point to wave at them..Round here going down the road everybody waves at you, just a friendly bunch of folks up here in Ga.Most of the time they just wave with the index finger just kinda lift it up off the steering wheel as a friendly jester,,but now these bass men are confused as to which finger they are supposed to wave with!! get my drift.Olf Art wrote:We'll do it, Swamp. Yea and I still aint figured out why they don't make then fly an orange flag they are lower to the water and harder to see and I have not found to many of them with any manners I think they think the own the lake and every one in a Airboat needs to just get out of there way so they don;t have to slow down
