Re: DD Caddy Build
If your boat is set up and your prop is dialed into a specific max rpm (governed )historically remaining the same, then an engine mod is made and rpm's increase slightly then it is safe to say Olf that torque or hp have increased. The only mulligan to this theory would be a change in the aero package.
How about a few pics of the build progress for the boat less...... Johnboy

Re: DD Caddy Build
Erik, I'm in total agreement with your last post. If all variables are unchanged, and horsepower or torque is changed the rpm at static wot will show a change also. I'll try to add some pics after work tonight, been really busy. On a side note I'm having a hard time convincing myself to use such a beautiful engine in a dd airboat. Seems like it's just screaming to go into an old truck build or at least have a box added to the boat lol

Picked up the heart of the project the other day from Buddy Branch. Looks so good I'm having a hard time using it on a DD airboat!

Re: DD Caddy Build
I've been able to get a little done on the boat in the last few days. Still have a lot to work on, but I've got the motor mounted, exhaust in place, and the seats on.

Awesome build. Be sure to keep us updated.
Re: DD Caddy Build
I added Fiberglass mesh under my steel flex, and rolled it in white then Black on top of that, I helps make it thicker and also chunks of steel flex don't break off on my aluminum hull, huntridewrench wrote:Thanks for the input guys. May have to end up adding the polly, but unfortunately I've just put three gallons of quickslick down on the new hull. The rig should be getting finished up towards the end of this week, and I'll be building my gauge panel in the next couple of days. Will be updating with pics.
a little added strength and thickness without much extra weight.
