Fred White has White's Performance and Machine , White's Racing Engines. Fred is the engine builder. Skip White (lots of ebay sales) is Fred's nephew. Skip does internet sales of performance parts and retail motors , and is strictly a x-dock warehouse (middleman). They used to be partners but family fued and no longer associated , Fred does his own internet sales thru his shop.
Brother in law ( Citrus Transmission in Homosassa) is a direct dealer for Fred . Fred came down and rode with us (first airboat) and set Larry up as a dealer for him. Larry has installed about 15 motors in our area and has handled some warrantty issues for Fred. White's is in Kingsport Tenn. right outside of Bristol.

Seen your build at Lil John's, Scotts looks just like it , same color only its a DB and has a full cage with lift hatches on each side and a large seat stand. They won't have any problem going to the duck blinds.

Fred is a good man, does what he says , and in business today that says a lot. We have made some good friends with the staff and some vacation down here with us. Their head engine builder is going to try to make it down so he can go with us to the races at Hog Waller.I have to say , it was a blast to put my motor on their dyno and have time to play with it and learn some things we didn't know.

jungle cat with all the motors you sold down south you might get a commission maybe aluminum block that will help you on your boat you should be a representative for white performance down South you doing a good job selling motors.

The Jungle Cat and Screamin Eagle boats are kinda R&D boats for White's. We have tried several things for them , some more successfu than others . Mr. Fred has taken care of us. It's funny we were discussing aluminum blocks today and how we wanted to test them , LOL. Also, ran into a guy today that I had never met , he said he had read some threads on here and had purchased a complete 383 because of them.

Well I have a 496 on the way and at least 2 383s coming so I will post how they do. I was told the 383 will put out over 510hp so it should be fun.

The 383 I was running was 526hp @ 5600. It was a beast snappy and quick rev but the 427 is a different animal all together . It does everything so effortlessly .

Bone sounds like your little venture has really taken off. Hope it works out for you, its got to be fun putting together that many boats. I love my boat , but the build was half the fun. I guess its like the saying " its not the kill but the hunt, its not the boat but the build."

I enjoy it when all goes as plans here lately that has been rare. I am getting to talk to a lot of guys some know exactly what they want and some have never been on an airboat. That's what I like is sharing in their first rides and seeing the look on their faces. I have a customer in WI that hasn't been on an airboat in over 20 yrs his last one had a corvair engine on it. The one I am building him is a 14x8 with a 500hp 383 with a 3 blade r series on it. It's going to be great to see his face when he get's on this one for the first time. I hope it keeps going like it is. Thanks for you help with whites that will take the load off Glen and give me another source so I can speed things up.

What kind of money and warranty are we looking at? And who pays shipping on a motor failure?

I am not sure but to be honest I have never heard on one failing. I am sure if you call them they can answer any questions you have.

Yes my 383 , went out NASCAR style flames and smoke . It was the first motor we had got from Whites and was using a very deep drag oil pan . The pick up tube sheared off below pump because if movement of oil , no baffles or trays in this style pan . It was the only motor that had this pan and they no longer use it fir airboat apps . Shipped entire motor to whites and they tore down and determined failure . More than happy with how they took care of it .
Tony is right any part can fail and cause any motor to fail. You just try to put the best combinations together and hope for the best. I just know they are trying to make sure they give you the best package for your dollar .

And that's what matters is how they handle it. Not saying anything bad. Just saying. It gets old people on here boasting how there motor guy has never had a problem. They all do at some time or other

I know everyone that builds anything can and at some point will have some sort of problem. I just said I never heard of whites having a failure. Now I have. Glen is the best builder I have ever been involved with and I am sure at some point he has had one come apart but I have never heard of one of his either.

I'm in the more gear camp . I like more gear and add pitch to adjust . The Jungle Cat and Screamin Eagle have the same motor , the difference is 2.68 vs 2.3 . We cruise at same rpm and fuel consumption is almost identical . The only difference is with the 2.68 it will turn a lot more pitch and more rpms if needed .
