any suggestions on a good headset. I use earmuffs but would like to communicate with everyone in boat. or a radio system to talk with everyone in boat and other boats.

Gator Headsets 801-991-0577 i have a set they made me. they work great and they where inexpensive. they have 2 way commincation, telephone, fm radio or you can bluetooth your music from your phone, they are completly wireless.

Question on these headsets, if my wife is listening to music and I speak to her, does the music stop for my voice and then automatically resume with the music after I am done speaking?

It would depend on the model of headset you was using. The 20S-Evo and the 30K models that I use will do that.
