May 28th ride at Mack's fish camp

Post by radtech »

Just wanted to try to get things together for the ride next month. Need to know who all is coming and get an idea how much we're cooking. Also need to see what those who are coming think about what time to meet up at Mack's. I'll already be there, so time doesn't matter to me. Look forward to seeing y'all in the glades for great riding and awesome food.

Just had a great conversation with Marshall out at Mack's fish camp and confirmed the 28th. 10 am ride-out. Sure was a pleasure to get to talk to him and catch up. Can't wait to get there. Look forward to the ride on the 28th

Will be a good weekend to have a great turnout. I will be at the Vet's ride @ Old Glory and will be staying a few days, so if I don't get homesick I may be there. Memorial Day Weekend is a good weekend to have a function, people looking for something to do. I've been trying to get the organizers to have the Vet's ride on Memorial Weekend but for some reason they can't grasp that idea. Don't know if this old man can have that much fun for that long!!  :old_glory: :old_glory:

I was leaning towards doing the same thing. Maybe stashing some av gas at Mac's the day before just to be safe. 10 am is hard for me got to still feed the farm that morning but will be there God willing :proud: :old_glory:

There has apparently been further confusion. The ride is at Mack's fish camp in 3b everglades, not Camp Mack on Kissimmee.

We will have enough a food for an army. I have a whole hog fresh from South Carolina  we should still be able to get a fresh bushel of corn too

WOW! Not sure if we'll need to cook a whole hog with all the other food, but I guess we'll have to see. I have a 100 qt pot and an 80 qt pot. Guessing we'll need both for the boil. Gonna bring some fresh Vidalia onions, already got some sausage, but need a bit more. And need to pick up some new potatoes. If we'll have corn, wont pick that up. Sure lookin forward to it

Spoke with Marshall the other day. He said 10-12 inches of water in the trails, so unless something drastic happens, we should be just right

I've been thinking...Don't get me wrong, I love okra. But it tends to break up when boiled

So, there has certainly been interest in this ride. It will definitely be a great time. Looking to get a current list of how many will definitely be there, plus the maybes. Gonna start a list of what I have so far in 3 posts. If you're coming and aren't on the list, please add your name. If I'm incorrect and you wont be there, let me know. If things change one way or another....so on and so forth.

The countdown has begun. Tonight will be my last night at work. Will be heading down either wed evening or very early Thursday. Either way, I'll be at Mack's before dark Thursday evening. Anyone riding the area on Friday? Want to take a relax and ride day Friday before the big ride sat. Look forward to seeing everyone.
