Re: The first place you ever ran an Airboat?
Sqeakbox I was the same way lol! I had been on my buddies boat hunting and road with some of my
Dad's friends but never ran one for myself. I had a good buddy ( Danny Carames) that went with me
the 1st time. When I backed up, hit the brakes , it slid off! I looked like I knew what I was doing but didn't
have a clue! He realized that and asked me if I minded if he took it for a ride. .. I was like uuuhhh no go
ahead! He buzzed around lock 7 and came back and blew it on the hill. The rest is history! ! I couldn't
imagine not having an airboat!

Rodman Resovoir, 1980 was my first solo ride with an old fiberglass hunt boat, a whole lot more stumps and debris than there is now. Good memories! Fun times!

Ozello, FL. Ran my dad's 13' Airgator w/a direct drive 472 Caddy. That joker had the old thick white polymer on it and those that know Ozello know exactly why they ran than thick stuff up there!

Tommy, in my opinion there wasn't a prettier place to run, for me it started in 1971. I sure had a lot of good times out there.tdarr wrote:West Palm Beach water catchment area.

Re: The first place you ever ran an Airboat?
Put in at camp mack and followed a buddy down to the ridge with my cottonmouth. It porposing so bad I had to slow down and speed up about a hundred times to keep from getting tossed out of the boat, scared to death I was gonna sink it in the deep azz canal, but finally made it. Man my sphincter was so tight they had to pull my seat cover outta my bunghole when I climbed off the boat!!
