If I understand it right, that "interest based" algorithm if one of (4) different things that determine what gets displayed. I wouldn't be surprised if the recent "Mayhem" activity on SA brought on stuff like that.

+1. A web history in your browser can be of great utility, but when you don't want to keep a history, use incognito mode.

Chrome has this mode, most other browsers have a way of doing this too.
