After spending an afternoon at the AAOF barbeque last spring, two things were very clear. I love spending time with family and friends outdoors and I wanted a new airboat! A few days after this event, I contacted Tray about building an airboat and he recommended Derek Eaker. After our initial meeting and seeing his work, I new right away he was the right guy to build my dream airboat. Here are few pictures of the new build and Derek himself...

derek will have it done sooner then you think,and then off runnin with building another 12 footer for jay,he definately puts all his pride into every boat he builds.

Derek does take a lot of pride to make sure everything lines up straight and balanced. Jay and I put the orders the same day we met with Derek. We decided for my boat to get started first. Since my build started I have gone over many times to see his progress and every time I show up I see significant progress. We made a great choice to have a true set up person building our boats.

Thats a really skinny boat, will it float if sitting still in deep choppy water. I know its a deck over and will not fill with water, just an amaizing looking boat to me. In comparison my sides are 32" at the transom. I'd lov to strap a big moose on the deck of that boat and take it to the ramp. Bud

It will float with no problem Bud. However, even though it is a full deck we still need to be careful in deep water....

The sawgrass tends to break up any chop that happens to make it this far inward from the ocean

the most chop your find in the glades is when some fat drunk guy jumps in at the swimming hole. Lol I love that hull. That things going to be a rocket. I love the short slim hulls.

Your boat runs awesome. Not only is it fast but it rides smooth as silk. Derek built that thing to go over anything too!

That boat looks like a real hot rod, bet it would be fun as he!! to run around on, like driving a sports car or motorcycle compared to a bus, or in my case, a barge. Bud
