I have the same hull. I would be at peace with the world if I had one trip in my boat in country like that. That photo taken from up on the ridge down to the river and all the river fingers amkes it seem like endless airboat country. I long to be there.

I had my wife convinced to move there. Pack it all up and just go. I went so far as applying for a job in Anchorage and checking into shipping containers. At he last minutes my wife, a southern cali raised girl, pulled the plug. It was probably best as she gets real down with gray weather. I thrive on it and she gets depressed. So we have resorted to waiting until we retire and then just taking long vacations up there. When the time is right we will just jet on back home.

The rifle my wife is shooting is a 450 bushmaster.
I carry a 338 win mag.
Seems like overkill till you meet up with a grizz.

Headed back to this same spot again this fall and were bringing our 7 YO daughter with. She goes with every spring bear hunting out on the ocean but is usually sleeping when were out chasing bears. This year she will be up front and center and getting her hands dirty with the skinning and butchering.

Appreciate all the feed back. It really is a special place and we enjoy this trip each fall tremendously.

Couple more pics.....shrimping a month ago in PWS and my wifes black bear last spring.
We're headed back to chase bears at the end of this month....can't wait!
