Re: New power plant help

His 418 makes as much power as your 427 and your 418 is more comparable in power to his 550.

Re: ngq what size to buy?

The motor is pretty fresh. It's pretty strong and high compression. Has a jetted holley 500. Just double checked and it does measure 11 inches not 12. What prop would that be? Frustrating crap so you think 70 inch? You see how over proped it is now. I did run 4 adults through some nasty crap and dr...

Re: New power plant help

You won't regret it. Dave didn't build my motor but I bought a lot of parts from him and he helped me a bunch. And helped me with the tune on the injection. I wanted to build it myself and he was fine with helping me if needed...but if I had to do it again I would've just bought one from him.

Re: New power plant help

SD parts isn't going to warranty it on an airboat. And you'll still need headers. Just call Dave and his will be 100% turn key. Nothing needed. With a warranty

Re: Ls (l33 HO)

I bought a set of 8 brand new coil packs with brackets and harness for $225...a new hei distributor with coil is that much...a chevy brand sbc aluminum water pump is $125...a new one for an LS is 130...new oil pump may be a few dollars more but not $100.. block prices are the same if not cheaper for...

Re: Ls (l33 HO)

Is it worth pulling a 383 out to replace it with the L33? I'm running it on a 2.3-1 belt box with 3 blade sensnich R I wouldn't bother as long as the 383 is running fine. Keep reading up on the LS style engines - they are different then the old SBC and it can be somewhat of a learning curve. Parts ...

I did a lot of the work myself so what I have in it isn't really comparable to what they are selling their's for.

I didn't hear any one complaining about what other people have except Tony keeps bringing up Shanes motor is bigger with more power over and over. Shane just brought up some facts about some motors and prop pitch that's all... I didn't think it was complaining at all... Just stating some facts... i...

Re: DynaMarine

It's all good and I sure ain't no sore loser. I saw how much prop was swung just didn't know the RPM but Tony said what he was turning. Weird, same pitch as Bronson's 440" to the same RPM. Either it's a weak ass 440" or a damn strong 418". Course there ain't nothing to the ol' Farmbo...

Hahahaha...even if I lost I really one on the big picture.
Not bad for being outgunned by 140+ horse. Throw enough power at something though and it's bound to go fast...just not as fast as it would on a properly setup good running hull. :D
