Re: Thoughts on 4 cylinder boats
My old flip phone didn't have gps back then lol, but I'd guess mid 40's or so in deep water. A lot faster in skinny water. I never really worried about top end much as long as I could do a little hill running. Old video of my angle valve 170: https://youtu.be/UqB-8oORPXs Old video of my H model 160:...

Re: Thoughts on 4 cylinder boats
I've had a couple of O-320's (angle valve 170 & H2AD 160). As stated above, keep'em light. Mine were on a 12' Hamant w/(2) single seats and ran everywhere my 6 cyl. a/c & carmotor buddies ran their's in a normal day of riding. I keep saying my next boat's gonna be a straight valve 180 built ...

Yep, Justin's another one that always has high reviews. Haven't seen him on SA in awhile, but his username is JT540. Here's a link to PM JT540.
Where's he located. I was thinking Apopka, but not positive about that.

Glad to hear you still have the same setup.
My old runout's at 11 yrs. and counting. Still has that same F.I. setup you hooked up on it back then. Runs rich, but strong.

Moore's Aircraft Engines, Inc. (407) 422-4318 mooresaircraft@gmail.com I haven't had an engine built by anyone since about 198?, but that's who I'd go with if I was shopping. I run with quite a few of his customers over here on the river and they all love their motors, Continental & Lycoming. Rick

Re: Mike Felber
Confession from an aircraft guy... I ran a Caddy off the crank for a few years in the mid 90's. It was amazing what it would do speed wise & running the hill on a 12.5' boat w/double back seat. Mostly ran with my (2) brotherinlaws (396 belt drive & 8 cyl. gtso Continental). I couldn't race w...

Just for the SA record, this forum isn't Scotty's (Whitebear's) sandbox; It's for everybody that posts here. Threads like this usually do bring out strong opinions and insulting comments. Comments don't have to follow the liberal way and be one sided...just civil enough to keep everybody involved ou...

Wasn't there a thread on here about hazardous objects where you could post coordinates? Duece Yes, there was a "Navigational Hazard" forum created under the "Airboat Safety" forum. It's still there, but has never really seen much activity: https://southernairboat.com/phpBB3/view...
