Re: Wreck At The Milk Bus?

I wasn't there but have heard some talk about it. I hope the guy is doin alright too. I can tell you he is a hell of a nice guy and has more experience with fast airboats than most. That being said I wish him a speedy recovery because I know he'll be back at it as soon as he can. There are more and ...

Redneck Yacht Club Races

Hey guys just wondering if anyone had any info on the races coming up at ryc? I keep hearing about it but from what I've searched can't seem to find anything on dates, times, etc. Also if anyone can tell me where I can find the classes theyre running and rules etc. that would be greatly appreciated....

Trying to find an aluminum step

Anyone running one? I'm trying to find one second hand or have someone build me one. I have a step hull now and I love it but it's wore out and I'm ready for something new. I'm really not a fan of a glass boat. I like the longevity and durability of an aluminum hull and would like a deck over but I ...

Re: Anvils wicked Don Davis.

I agree with what Bubba stated. Coming from drag racing, there are established classes and you either build or adapt your car to be the fastest you can be legally in that class. I'm new to the sport but am excited to see the interest in racing airboats. I'm fresh off a build but hope to soon be in t...

Looking for a 3 blade rhr

I would've posted this in the wanted section but it doesn't seem to get much attention over there. I have a little step hull with a 408LS (550-600hp est.) a 2.88 box and right now an 82" 8 blade turbo warp drive. The boat runs "decent" runs about 85mph in deep water runs dry too but it takes some ef...

Re: IGSO-540 or 500hp LS with reduction

well that being said if someone gave me $5500 a piece I'd probably sell them. I think with my income it'll be wiser to stick with what I know and can build/maintain myself which is the LS motor.

Re: IGSO-540 or 500hp LS with reduction

I figured that was a decent price since I see O-540's going for 7,8, or 9+ thousand in the classifieds. I figured I could negotiate from there.

Re: IGSO-540 or 500hp LS with reduction

Well theres no doubt that my junkyard LS will be better on fuel and (at least for me) easier to maintain but there is no way it is making anywhere near the torque of that 540. Lb for Lb in the end A GSO-540 would eat my LS setup to pieces but it would also cost twice the money in fuel and parts to d...

IGSO-540 or 500hp LS with reduction

I know this has been asked before the only difference is that I currently have both to choose from in my possession. I picked up a pair of IGSO-540 run outs over the weekend that need a little cleaning up but appear to be good motors. Of course this came along right after I finished building my LS m...

Re: LS direct drive step

Any thoughts on the 8 cylinder gpu? With a good cam and maybe some 520 jugs it should be in the 400hp range. I'm just worried about it being 550+ lbs on my little boat.

Re: LS direct drive step

Hey could be a dumb idea, but I'm just trying to getter a better understanding of how a DD setup could work like that. I'm all for the LS I've built a few now, one being close to 900hp, and they're incredible engines and very dependable. If I had to spend the money on a reduction, it defeats the pur...

LS direct drive step

Hey guys this is my first post on here. Been reading a ton but havnt had anything worth talking about yet till now. I have a 6'8" step believed to be an old freedom craft, that I purchased off another member on here. It has a riggin setup for a pancake cage and a 540. Basically where I'm at on my bu...
