Re: 220 GPU Kill Switch
The only pic i have is a different series of mag , someone else might have better pics but this is how many mags are done , if you notice the wire going from condensor to points contacts , the ground wire will hook up to that screw that way when grounded it will not let the coil fire For some reason...

Re: 220 GPU Kill Switch
Check the magneto and see if there is a small wire going through the mag points cap , if so and its hooked up , grounding this wire is the way to kill the mag so it wont fire , usually folks just run a toggle switch to ground Also on a side note , in case you might be unaware if your mag is not grou...

Re: 18x8 with 450Hp LS3
Not a chance. I have a 20x8 with a sprayer setup, a hair under 600hp, and mine won't run across wet grass. Let alone load/unload, or run the hill. That explains it as well as any. I run a 14x7, 1,800 lb boat, pushed by 260 Hp worth of Lycoming. I unload/load dry and run dry all day with a rider, 2 ...

Hey Brother!!! I've been wondering where you've been hiding, I've seen a short post here and there once in a while from you but it's seemed like a bunch of the older crowd that made this forum has kinda dwindled away or maybe just life getting in the way... And yes i have moved back to Florida, just...

Re: throwing a large roaster tail
My hulls like the engine to be almost perfectly level to the hull or just slightly high in the rear, some other hulls I've setup like 1/4 bubble high or so in rear, and then some boats liked/needed to lower it a bit past level , every hull is a little different and there is a ton of info in the arch...

Re: throwing a large roaster tail
Have you checked the bottom of the hull near the stern , if you have poly make sure you dont have a chunck about to come off or splitting back there , if thats good.... Then level the hull , put a level on the bottom or t bars/stringers to verify level then check prop angle on face of hub if possibl...

Someone with a more well trained eye than me hopefully will chime in and shed some light on it , i see why they say taylor but it's really hard to say for sure as i haven't seen a true taylor hull up close in many years , good luck

Re: What hull do I have? Taylor?
Ya its a weird deal on that... the us coast guard has made it very clear (to me at least) that in no way shape or form can i put my HIN #s on a hull unless i build the rest of the boat and sell it as such , I've heard some manufacturers do anyways but then that opens up a bunch liability issues on t...
