Use a wide deck case and you don't have to.

$8000 for the bender then another $1800 for dies. This is why i'm still using conduit.

Re: lycoming 200 wide deck
Scotty I think it is a older Dodge. Just not sure year and make. I called jurnigans in plant city and had it the next day. I think it was $150 but don't quote me on it. I bought other stuff too so the prices run together. It looks brand new and I know it is correct and was made to handle Av gas. It ...

Re: Who paints aluminum airboats
Sorry to piss off anyone. My comment about profile was so if someone was in his area they would be more incline to answer up. Me living in far south dade didn't apply to the question. As far as knowledge goes, I have painted a few boats. Paint is like a lot of things, the more time you put into prep...

Re: Airboat Won’t Start
Get a hold of Greg McCloud. He is in plant city. The pump is easy to replace and he can get you the parts you need and If you ask him nice would probably tell you how to do it. Another option would be to send it to him. It will come back looking like brand new.

Re: Airboat Won’t Start
If you have a filter on it take it off. Pump the gas pedal 3 or 4 times and if you don't have gas driving on the deck it is time for a accelerator pump.

The old ford type starter solenoid will be fine. Don't even need the ignition switch. Just the starter button.

Re: need info
I have said this before and will say it again, don't be in a hurry to take friends and family. Find some shallow areas hopefully with some friends with airboats as well and get used to running the boat. Like flying a airplane stick time is how you learn, and if and when you screw up you don't want t...

Re: Paint remover
I used aircraft stripper. Bought at paint supply company. The can even braced about not having methylene chloride. Never heard the one direction thing before, I'll give it a try on the transom. Got paint off second side using belt sander to knock the top off and a DA WITH 80 grit paper. Used 4 belts...
