WATER HAZARD IN LAKE FLORENCE

[THE NIGHT RIDER]

THERE IS A COUPLE OF HAZARDS IN LAKE FLORENCE.ONE OF THEM IS A PILE OF ASPHALT ABOUT 100 YRDS STRAIGHT OUT GOIN TOWARDS THE BACKTRAIL AND THE OTHER IS A COUPLE LOGS RIGHT UNDER THE WATERLINE ABOUT FIFTY FEET FROM THAT. I HIT THAT PILE OF ASHPALT WIDE OPEN THE OTHER NIGHT AS I WAS HEADIN OUT AND ALMOST ROLLED MY BOAT.THANK GOD ITS ALUMINIM AND HAS POLY.ID HATE TO SEE A GLASS BOAT WITH NO POLY HIT THAT. I WILL BRING SOMETHING WITH REFLECTORS TO MARK IT ON THE NEXT RIDE. THE PILE IS PROTRUDING OUT OF THE WATER ABOUT 6INCHES AND ITS UGLY. BE EXTRA CAREFUL AND USE YOUR HEADLIGHTS FOR SURE.

Wait till the water drops even more! You’ll see engine blocks, washing machines, tires, and other junk you didn’t know was there. Be careful. :x

i never seen the asphalt but the dame engine block i miss by a hair
my boat is glass and no poly just slick bottom :shock:
i no the dame sand bars are getting rougher north trails area running that area with no lights watch out for them and also junk motors logs ect

Dont forget the concrete rubble just out of the canal, by the landing, that used to be a rigging breaker! They are gonna start popping up to the north soon also.

I NO EVERONE ALWAYS TALKS ABOUT LAKE CLEAN UPS AROUND ALL THE POPULAR AREA'S NO ONE REALLY MENTIONS LK FLORENCE OR ST JOHNS HOW ABOUT US AIRBOATS CLEAN HER UP SOME MOVING THE BIG $%IT WILL BE HARD BUT WE CAN MAKE A EFFORT

I know the stuff is in the Lake but, if you strike out from the top of the Hill like the Cadillac Boats then you run down the Ditch and miss the Pile alltogether ( lol ) after all this Rain it won't matter much it will be underwater right now..
