Gso 480 gear box rebuild

Thanks for the replies fellas ! We've dug hard, that whole gear box setup is kind of a unicorn. Works well on our setup but doesn't appear to be many around.

Ted hope that first pic is what you wanted. Finally got this thing tore down. Now if only we can get all the replaceable parts we need to put back together ! So far doesnt apear anything gear wise is tore up. Had to make special tool to hold spanner nut on front, then a second one to hold back up on the gears of the actual shaft. Took a 1" impact and some big air but it finally came loose.

Unless you have a seal leaking badly. If you have slack in your gear box, remove and check this bushing going into flywheel. This may be all you need to get it back right with out rebuilding the whole gear box and or replacing thrust bearing !!
