i know u can on the newer ones, but can u swap from 2;1 to 2.3:1 on the older ch-3 boxes that are stamped for 400hp instead of 600hp ? if so, then i think this will be my cheapest way to make more power without going into my old engine.
this may be what i need to do if it's possible. i used the search option but no luck.

My CH3 is 14 years old and stamped 400Hp,Ididn't have any trouble changing over to 2.3:1. (lower unit and belt)
Call century with your serial# before you spend the $ just to be sure.
