Went and looked at it this afternoon... good solid 12' Bear hull, has had poly put on it twice already, needs it again. One large dent on left side of bulkhead and another fairly large dent on the same side about 3/4 of the way towards the back... has a crack that is certainly weldable along top edge if you could get the contaminates out of it... 220 gpu, shot, but probably has some usable parts on it, trailer in decent shape too... More project than I want, but probably a good deal for someone who wants to spend more time than money on it... T

Nope... Jugs, Rings, Pistons on the floor in the hull, Crank is shot from the looks of things... looks like a bearing got chewed up to the point of taking a huge gouge out of the crank on Jug number 1... said the engine started to sieze up and he was in a bad spot and had to ride it out till he could get to safely which in turn cooked the engine... I'm learnin'!!!! Certainly not trying to discourage anyone from looking at it by any means, just trying to save someone a trip if they think they're getting a hull they can throw a motor on and go... LOL The guy who has it is very pleasant to talk to and not trying to BS anybody, he simply doesn't know very much about it. T

The poly on it was cracked all over the place, just about every screw that went through it had a crack next to it around the edges, and where that big dent was under the bulkhead there was a crack about 8 inches long, and under the engine stand between two of the stringers there was a place about the size of a baseball that was was ripped and peeled back, there was also another spot on the bottom that was all wrinkled up, not sure why there didn't appear to have a dent under it or anything. That probably wouldn't have effected the ride any. I don't feel that the cracks around the edges where the bolts hold the poly to the bottom was safe... I got the kind of luck that if I were riding I would be sliding along and that poly would catch on something and peel off and make me wreck... cuz those cracks will be an issue whether he knows it or not... They weren't in the middle, they were all along the edges, they weren't very big and most people probably wouldn't think much of them... but I just wasn't gonna take that kind of chance. Like I said, it was probably worth every penny, but just not for me... I got enough projects going on without adding another one to the mix... LOL T

I told him it sound like a good deal even if it need poly but I looking for some thing to drop a engine on and go. 1st thing he told me was he didn't know any thing about airboat or poly. Then he tells me he is sure the poly is good. I have the same luck as you. If I didn't have bad luck I would have none. Thanks for taking the time and replying to my pm's
