PROJECT: AirGator

Quackcephus, i sho will. It's going to be kind of a slow process until i purchase all my
parts. I purchased my belt drive, now i've got to purchase my springs,cam,etc,etc to handle
the rpm's. Also have to purchase the prop (water walker 76" SiriuS) then after that i've
either got to fab a a gantry crane, or i may just use my front end loader, which i probably
will use my loader for lifting cage,motor,reduction,etc,etc. ill have to re do my motor stand some,
and so on & so forth.Have the money to buy the stuff now but i have a hard time letting go
of it. It will be a right nice thread when I get it going tho. I'll post many a picture. Kc5akb

I won't be headed to the Ellis County Air Boat Recovery Center and Whiskey Allocators to work on the Airgator this weekend, as the fine upstanding members of the community will need my diagnosctic medical imaging skills tonight from 11pm to 7am... if you think the photos of the good people at Wal-Mart are good, well y'all oughta see some of the mofo's in the ER... living proof that Darwin's theory on Natural Selection is more like a Greek Play than science... a little comedy, a little tragedy, a little irony & a little parody... & these mofo's keep breedin' because we're providing them with housing, food, healthcare, daycare, etc. so rest assured that Johnson's "Great Society" is alive & well. :banghead:

I did, however order a pair of new seats for the Airgator this am & got 'em cheap... getting both shipped to TX from FL cheaper than I could buy one over their counter on a heads up from Breakin' Wind... thanks again Robert for heads up. :thumbleft:

I can hardly wait to get 'em mounted & the AirGator finished... the weather is warmin' up, everybody's got cabin fever & the fish'll be bitin' good real soon. :thumbleft:

This weekend was well spent at the Ellis County Air Boat Recovery Center and Whiskey Allocators. I got the nav lights mounted, wired in & got it figured out on the "what & how" in the console box. We got the batteries mounted, the "perko" moved & new battery cables installed. In the process I bet I cut off close to 457,368, 219 zip ties & got some of that cleaned up. A "big" thanks again to Cuzin' Eugene & Rita for allowing me to use their shop & generally be in their way. Also a "big" thanks to Cuzin' Butch, who squared me away on mouting the batteries. Last but not least, a "big" thanks to Cuzin' Ric, who saved the day with a bag of ice & a 12er of Lone Star Light.

Did you install that windshield washer pump with the 101 Turkey on tap on the console with that guarded switch ?

I spent most of the weekend at the Ellis County Air Boat Recovery Center and Whiskey Allocators & thanks to Cuzin' Eugene the Airgator is pretty much finished. When I got there Sat am "the elves" had the console & seats mounted, the seat stand floor cut & mounted. I spent most of the day tightening it all up. All I have left to do is mount the seat covers, fishing rod holders, a horn & my gps. I have some led runnin' lights on order so when they come in I want to fabricate some sort of light bar to mount of the grass rake. I'm very happy with the way everything came together & I'm extermely grateful for all the help in gettin' the AirGator ready to run this year. :thumbleft:

All the lines are ran & everything is bolted on, as soon as the adapter plate comes in for the intake manifold I'll be set. :bounce:

The Airgator turned out very nice & I couldn't be happier with that. I could not of got this project done without the help from my BRAB family & a few wayward friends. I would like to thank Eugene & Rita, who opened up their home & shop to me. Also a "BIG" thanks to Rusty, Butch, Ric, Bob, Robert & Keith... who all contributed, got dirty & helped a brutha to get-r-done. I'd also like to thank Tom & Lee for lettin' me put in at their beautiful place & spending the afternoon running that stretch of the Brazos river. :thumbleft:

Got a few more minor details tightened up, liltimetx let me hand him tools & cold one while he put on new gas tank bushings, bolts, washers & nuts & added 2 more fishin' rod holders. I got the gps mounted & working, mounted an ice chest... it's one like they use on flats boats with a seat cushion on the top of it & gonna get it all wet Sunday mornin'. I'll post some pic's when I get to my home computer. :blackeye:

damn the luck. sounds like something that would happen to me.went to go weld up a
a new mount plate for a motor/gearbox on a ripsaw not long ago, and the damn welder
battery was dead :angry5:

Thanks Olf Art & yes she did... all the way to the trailer. :twisted:

As far as 'em 10K armored catfish are concerned I would need a pile of 'em so that I could tell "The Man" to "shove it" & blow it on Lone Star Light & chick's in a premeditated & deligent fashion :lol:
