From lock 7 to the Kissimme River there are thousands of beds. It's too late now to find them on the bed. A month ago or so you could see them with their backs out of the water running from the boat. I would think they would be easy to gigg. I don't eat them. Scott

we always did good in the rim canal after the bridge going to the pier on Okeechobee. I have seen some today still on the beds in brevard county... Good luck and post a report with some pics
We where shooting them with a bowfishing bow. We had to do it on a plan or they would run to fast. This was a good 2 months ago. They where plentiful on the beds on the north shore right out of harney pond.
All the tilapia are down south from harney pond. Today went out and got on the outside and headed south. Passed the first set of double channel markers, then the single one. About 500 yards past the the 2 channel markers that are spread out about 150 yards apart, there are schools of up t0 25 talapia in each. In 10 minutes we had 3 monsters on the boat with the bow.
