We had our first meeting Sat with approx 50+ members showing up ready to join. Our next meeting will be Thur Sept the 3rd at 7:00 oclock pm at Midway Fish Camp. Located at Hwy 50 and the St Johns River. We will start the process of electing officials and new business. The Christmas Riverboat Association is the current name. We will be voting to keep the name or change it. Everyone at the meeting seemed to like the current name. We encourage any one interested in protecting our river and other waterways to come out and voice your opinion. Owning a Airboat is not required any kind of vessel is OK . Protecting the very waterways we love is what we will do and anyone can get involved.

That's a good sounding name, but it gives the initials of EORBA which don't sound good. And it does not include west brevard. or East Seminole.

Bill Daniels has on his site a reference to something I've never heard of, and I did a web search for it and it came up blank. It's St. Johns River Valley Airboat Association which I assume is an old defunct club.

Just change the word airboat to 'boat'. and you got something. SJRVBA ...Well, those initials don't sound any better! LOL

Christmas Club is a cool name.
How about Christmas River Boat Club (CRBC)

or Christmas Riverboat Assn (CRA)
That's the one you have now, and it sounds the best to me!!!

I don't recall there is a Christmas River.....so those names would be incorrect.
Christmas is on highway 50 between Orlando and the coast....

There is a Christmas Creek though.

And that's where the name came from, Christmas Fl same Christmas the club will be based at. Riverboat is one word.
